Carnicelli Literary Management is a full-service literary agency located in downtown New York City. We represent a wide assortment of authors writing on a broad range of subjects. Our main areas of focus are topical and narrative nonfiction, including current events, history, biography, memoir, science, business, health, psychology, and popular culture. The agency handles very little fiction and does not represent poetry, plays, screenplays, or books for children or young adults.
Our goal is to discover important new voices that have something unique and important to contribute to our world, be they experts in their fields or simply great storytellers. Relying on founder Matthew Carnicelli's experience as a hands-on editor, the agency is involved with an author's work every step of the way, from refining and clarifying an idea and developing a strong book proposal, to selling the project to the right publisher, developing the actual manuscript, and monitoring the book's progress after publication.
